Our Sheep

In 2011 we embarked on a journey to establish a Wiltipoll Stud on our property at Wisemans Creek in the Oberon Shire of NSW.  Wiltipolls were the right choice for us being reasonably easy care, shedding sheep with great tasting meat.  Our neighbour ran a small flock of Wiltipolls successfully for a couple of years.  As our climate is extreme with some snow in winter and over 40 degrees in summer his success helped make our decision. 

We started our breeding program with Grangevale ewes from near Dubbo joined with a Gunhurst ram, all A1 registered stock.  We introduced our A1 registered Kirwin ram in 2012 and Lone Pine ram in 2016.  After developing our flock over 6 years we registered with the Australian Wilitpoll Association in 2017. 

We strive to make Westmoreland Wiltipoll sheep sought after by other breeders by meeting all the objectives of the breed, producing good size and superior meat quality.   Our sheep are easily handled and fed a combination of natural pastures and fodder to ensure excellent growth, fertility and lambing.  

We can provide A1 rams and ewes with full pedigree as well as young lambs.  If needed we can join ewes with one of our A1 rams and supply joined ewes without the need to buy a ram initially.   All our sheep are raised in accordance with the MLA guidelines.
